A Komodo 2 days 1 night boat trip for a family without long hikes: Soe Besar Vanrei visits six stops on an example route and anchors once. The whole boat costs IDR 81,000,000 (≈ USD 4,969) for 1 to 16 guests. Padar is optional, and the sequence of stops is agreed with the captain.
Two-day transect: six stops, one anchorage
This is the shortest overnight on the site: Labuan Bajo to Labuan Bajo, with no Lombok leg. Six stops, one anchorage and one dinner aboard. Treat it as an example route, because the order is agreed with the captain and the weather can change it.
Each stop carries an effort grade, so a family can see in advance who walks and who stays aboard. The grades run from stay aboard to optional, and nobody has to leave the boat at any stop.
Overnight, the boat stays at anchor, and the captain chooses the anchorage with the weather. The cabins are air-conditioned, and each has its own bathroom.

Times here are patterns, not a timetable. Pickup and return times are confirmed when you book, so choose a late-afternoon flight home.
Afternoon one: Kelor, Manjarite, then bats
Day 1, afternoon. Pickup from a Labuan Bajo hotel or Komodo Airport, then the harbour and boarding. Kelor comes first, a hill walk graded short. Anyone who wants to skip it keeps the deck.
Manjarite follows, a snorkel stop. Snorkel gear is on board and the grade is easy, so a grandparent can float with a child or watch from the boat. Kalong comes last, at dusk: stay aboard, and the flying foxes leave the roost once the sun is down.
Day 1, dusk, Kalong: the boat at anchor, the count started on the rail. Dinner is aboard. Nobody has climbed anything today except the short hill.
The stop order is an example route; clock times are not fixed and are agreed with the captain.
Morning two: optional ridge, pink sand, ranger trail
Day 2, morning. Padar is the optional ridge. Its climb is the one real effort of the route, and whoever stays aboard keeps the boat and the breakfast table. A family that wants the view goes early and is back for breakfast on deck.
Pink Beach is a short landing and a snorkel. Komodo Island follows, a short graded walk with a ranger; closed shoes are needed, and the park ticket is part of the park package. Then the boat heads back to Labuan Bajo, and a transfer takes you to the hotel or the airport.
For your flights. Pickup is in the morning in Labuan Bajo, so arrive the day before or on an early flight. Book the flight home for the late afternoon or the next day. We confirm the exact return time in writing at booking.
Caveat: swell can close a landing, and the ranger sets the route on Komodo. The captain decides the final sequence on the day.
The boat price for two days
The whole boat costs IDR 81,000,000 (≈ USD 4,969) for 2D1N, one price for 1 to 16 guests. Sixteen relatives share it at IDR 5,060,000 (≈ USD 310) each, eight at IDR 10,120,000 (≈ USD 621) each, and the price does not fall when fewer come.
Billed beside it are the national park package, quoted per trip type; drinks beyond the free-flow water, tea and coffee; tips; and the fee of the payment channel. A private charter leaves out the guide and the photo and video documentation, and both are quoted separately on request.
Honest limit: two days leave no spare slot for a rain delay. Grandparents are better served by the three-day pace, and the three-day page shows it day by day.

Stops that miss the two-day cut
Three stops of the three-day route fall outside the two-day cut. Manta Point and Taka Makassar are the biggest losses, since they need an afternoon of their own. Sebayur or Kanawa, the last-morning snorkel, goes too.
Gili Lawa and Bidadari belong to the four-day route only. If your party has its heart set on mantas, take the three-day route and read the Manta Point page first. Mantas are never promised, and a family should not plan around one.
Two days suits a party short on time, a first visit, or grandparents who want one night aboard to try the boat before a longer stay. Think of it as its own choice, rather than the three-day route squeezed into two.

It works, with one spare hour and no spare day. Padar is optional, the other walks are short, and nobody leaves the boat unless they choose. The 3D2N is easier on older guests, because a rain delay on the 2D1N has no slot to land in.

Yes. The route starts with pickup from a Labuan Bajo hotel or Komodo Airport and ends back at the same harbour with a transfer to your hotel or the airport. There is no Lombok leg. The return time is confirmed in writing before you book flights.
