Soe Besar Vanrei Phinisi
Sixteen colleagues, three days, one invoice
Updated 8 November 2026
A Komodo small team offsite on a private phinisi fits up to 16 guests overnight on Soe Besar Vanrei, in seven cabins across five types. The whole boat on 3D2N is IDR 162,000,000 (≈ USD 9,939), so sixteen colleagues pay IDR 10,120,000 (≈ USD 621) each. Sessions on board are arranged on request, and an invoice follows.
A small team offsite across three days
The standard 3D2N is the offsite. Day one is the transfer from Labuan Bajo, a short hill at Kelor, a snorkel and the bats at Kalong. Day two is the long day, with Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo with a ranger, Taka Makassar and Manta Point. Day three is a snorkel and the return.
The boat stays at anchor overnight, and the captain chooses the anchorage with the weather. There is no day charter and no one-day route, so a team that wants a single working day looks elsewhere.
A team differs from a family in one respect: the stops are shared, but the effort is not. Padar is optional for every colleague, and nobody is marked absent for staying aboard. Plan the working session for the afternoon of day two or the evening of day one, when the walking is done.
The 2D1N and 4D3N are example routes agreed with the captain. Caveat: weather and the captain decide the order of stops.

These stops swap order with tide and wind: Manta Point ⇄ Taka Makassar; Sebayur ⇄ Kanawa.
Times here are patterns, not a timetable. Pickup and return times are confirmed when you book, so choose a late-afternoon flight home.
Sixteen colleagues across five types of cabin
Sixteen colleagues fill the boat: 2 in the Master Suite Ocean, 2 in the Master Ocean, 4 in two Deluxe Ocean cabins, 4 in two Superior cabins and 4 in the Sharing Cabin's bunks. Every cabin has its own bathroom and air conditioning. A seventeenth colleague takes the extra bed in the Master Suite Ocean.
The cabin plan is a hierarchy question, and we suggest not answering it by rank. The Master Suite Ocean has a terrace and a bathtub, and the Master Ocean has the fewest stairs; the bunks sleep four in two beds. A neutral way is to draw cabins by lot and keep the main-deck cabin for whoever needs it.
Beds are double, not twin, which affects who pairs with whom. Pairing colleagues in a double cabin is a decision for the team, not for us.
Seven cabins, seven bathrooms. Cabin sizes and crew size are not published, and hot water is confirmed in writing before payment.
| Cabin | Rooms | Beds | Sleeps |
|---|---|---|---|
| Master Suite Ocean | 1 | 1 double bed, plus an extra bed for a third guest | 2 |
| Master Ocean | 1 | 1 double bed | 2 |
| Deluxe Ocean | 2 | 1 double bed | 4 |
| Superior | 2 | 1 double bed | 4 |
| Sharing Cabin | 1 | 2 bunk beds (4 single berths) | 4 |
| Berths in total | 7 | 16 |
The Master Suite extra bed brings the bed count to 17. Soe Besar Vanrei is sold for 16 guests overnight on a private charter.
Sessions on board: arranged, not assumed
A working session aboard is an arrangement, not a feature. The saloon has a long table and a wall TV, and the covered dining deck has a long table in the open air. Either can seat a session when it is not being used for a meal. We do not describe a meeting room, because the boat has none.
Wi-Fi is on board, but speed is not guaranteed, and we make no promise for a work call, so a team with a call it cannot miss plans that call in Labuan Bajo. Whether a laptop connects to the wall TV is not published, so ask us first.
Team building, such as a kayak race or a quiz, can be arranged and is quoted before it is added. Karaoke is aboard for the evening.
A guide and documentation are not part of a private charter and are quoted separately. Ask for both before the deposit if the offsite needs a record.
The per-head line for a team
The whole boat for 3D2N is IDR 162,000,000 (≈ USD 9,939), per boat, for 1 to 16 guests. Sixteen colleagues pay IDR 10,120,000 (≈ USD 621) each, which is the total of IDR 162,000,000 (≈ USD 9,939) divided by the head count. A team of ten pays IDR 16,200,000 (≈ USD 994) each, because the price does not fall when fewer people come.
The 4D3N, a slower route, is IDR 243,000,000 (≈ USD 14,908) for the boat, or IDR 15,190,000 (≈ USD 932) each for sixteen. The shortest, the 2D1N, is IDR 81,000,000 (≈ USD 4,969).
Beside the boat price sit the park package, quoted per trip type; drinks beyond free-flow water, tea and coffee; tips; flights; and card fees of 3 percent for a card link or 7.2 percent for PayPal. A guide and documentation are quoted separately.
If the operator replaces the boat, the replacement is of equal or higher class on the same date at no extra charge, or you receive a full refund within 2 days.

FAQ
Can we celebrate a team milestone aboard?
Yes, by arrangement. A cake, a decoration or a small ceremony on the sun deck is quoted before it is added, so nothing appears on the invoice unseen. Send the request well ahead, since items are bought in Labuan Bajo. Karaoke is aboard for the evening.
What happens if the boat is replaced before our offsite?
The replacement is of equal or higher class, on the same date, at no extra charge. If that does not suit you, you receive a full refund within 2 days. We tell you the moment the operator tells us, and confirm the new boat in writing.
Can we run a meeting or a workshop on board?
By arrangement, on request. The saloon and the covered dining deck each have a long table, and a session fits between meals. The boat has no meeting room, and Wi-Fi speed is not guaranteed, so we promise no work calls. Ask us first.
