People, not a booking form

Every message sent to the reservation numbers is read by a person at Komodo Explorer in Labuan Bajo. There is no chatbot in the middle and no web checkout. You write, we answer, and the same conversation carries the quote, the invoice and the pre-departure form, so nothing you have told us has to be told twice.

We know the park routes from the booking side: which stops sit on which day, which are optional for older legs, and where the tide or the weather moves the order. We do not pretend to know what we have not been shown. When a fact about the boat is not published, we say so and confirm in writing before you pay.

For a family that travels in three generations, the useful skill is asking the second question. How old is the youngest? Who finds stairs difficult? Those answers decide the cabin, and they come from you.

The division is simple.

• We arrange: dates, quote, payment, the hotel or airport pickup to the harbour, the pre-departure form, and the replacement-boat guarantee if the boat cannot sail.
• The boat's crew run: the sailing, the meals, the snorkel gear and the stops. The captain chooses the anchorage with the weather and agrees which stop comes first.

On an open-trip seat, a local guide and photo and video documentation come with the seat. On a private charter they do not. A guide and documentation can be added, and we quote them separately before anything is added to the invoice.

Nobody on our side sails the boat. Nobody aboard takes payment, and a message that asks you to pay a crew member is one to question.

This page is written from the boat's sailing calendar and its photographs. Some facts are not published, and we say so where they matter.

The facts this site rests on: about 31 m, seven air-conditioned cabins with bathrooms, 16 guests overnight, Friday and Monday open-trip sailings, and the photographs on the gallery page.

Not published: the build year, engines, crew size and life-jacket counts. Hot water in the cabins and wheelchair access are confirmed in writing before payment, so a guest who needs either asks us first.
